For Other Folks

Fit for All enables 5000 disabled and vulnerable children and young people to take part in inclusive activities across Birmingham and in North Solihull during Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. We are grateful to Birmingham City Council and Bring It On Brum for their support without which the project would not exist. Likewise and for the same reason we are grateful to: our community providers – the community groups and local organisations and charities, schools and special schools – that run and enrich thousands of inclusive sessions a year (and serve thousands of healthy lunches); and to the young people that take part and their families and the volunteers that support our groups.

More can always be achieved. Which is why we apply for other funding to enable more delivery, environmental activities, arts sessions and inclusive sports and sessions during evenings, weekends and during other school holidays. In 2023, for example, we worked with an All Ages Autism Award provided by Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board to involve a further 350 autistic participants and siblings through a sister project – Fit for You.

As and when we can, we will publish the evaluations and reports of work achieved since 2020 by Fit for All and its sister projects. In the meantime:
