Meriden Adventure Playground in Chelmsley Wood is open for Free School Meal, vulnerable and SEND children and young people from Birmingham during the Summer holidays.
Free sessions run from 11am – 3.30pm (last entry 3pm) on weekdays Monday – Friday 21st July to 29th August inclusive (excluding Bank Holiday Monday). There are also Saturday sessions; special sessions on Sundays; and sessions for young people with complex needs.
MAPA is a physically engaging space where children are free to self-direct their play. There are large structures for running, climbing and jumping as well as build areas, swings and ladders. MAPA offers forest school sessions and creative/craft activities. There is water and bubble play and circus skills. Free healthy meals are provided by Food for Thought and include daily meat/fish and vegan options. With picnic boxes available at SEND sessions on Mondays.
Register before you visit
Before you can go on site at MAPA, you will need to register an account. To create an account for anyone who wants to go on-site – child or adult – see http://www.mapa-online.org.uk and follow the instructions. Once you have an account, it will generate a QR code for you/your family which will be scanned on entry.
