This Summer you can catch the Tube for free at Ackers Adventure – Birmingham’s outdoor activities centre based in Sparkbrook. Unlike its London namesake, the Birmingham Tube is a fun activity for anyone over 8 years old – it involves riding a ‘donut’ (based on the design of a tyre inner tube – from where the sport gets its name) down a ski slope.
Ackers is run by a local charity that exists to promote and engage people of all ages, abilities and disabilities in outdoor adventure. The charity is a member of CQ and is offering Fit for All groups and parents/carers the chance to bring young people tubing for free on a series of days over the summer – to be confirmed.
Lunch will be provided. Participants must be 8 years or over and must wear long sleeves, long trousers, gloves and suitable footwear e.g. trainers.
Ackers Adventure is at Golden Hillock Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham B11 2PY
