MAKE, GROW, COOK AND EAT THIS SUMMER AT WARD END ALLOTMENTS WITH YOUTH PATHWAY CIC! THERE ARE 12 SESSIONS FOR JUST EIGHT YOUNG PEOPLE AVAILABLE AND – SUBJECT TO ACCESSIBILITY ISSUES – THEY ARE OPEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES AS WELL AS OTHERS.
BOOKING ESSENTIAL
Tonn from Youth Pathway will be growing and allotment gardening activities, nature conservation work and helping to prepare food. Forest school sessions. Mindful nature walks. Children will be making their own healthy meals using produce from the allotments supplemented by local and locally bought ingredients. Tonn is a qualified Forest School practitioner and allotment gardener who has worked extensively in Birmingham schools. Ward End allotments on Northleigh Road is a lovely, friendly allotment site which welcomes young people as part of Youth Pathway. There is an wildlife area and pond on site as well as a Pavilion with kitchen, toilet and food preparation facilities.
