Rise & Shine Providers – Summer 22

Welcome to Rise & Shine – the Fit for All Programme for school Summer Holidays in 2022. 16 groups successfully bid for Summer Club funding with Fit for All back in June and are now delivering their inclusive Summer Clubs as part of Bring It On Brum!

Read more about who’s taking part as providers this summer or find the links to the information you need if you are running a Fit for All club, below.

Who’s Taking Part?

As usual, Fit for All this Summer includes a wide range of providers – reflecting the diverse membership of Children’s Quarter. There are large providers, like Norton Hall Children and Family Centre in Alum Rock and Hamstead Hall Academy in Handsworth Wood. There are smaller providers like Reboot Greencare and Shining Stars. Schools like Hamilton School in Handsworth and Dame Ellen Pinsent School in Billesley are running Fit for All Summer Clubs. Parent-led groups, like Birmingham SEND Socials in Birmingham and Square Peg Activities in Sutton Coldfield, are part of it too. Here’s the list:

Briefing Sessions

There are three Fit for All briefing sessions during the Summer:

Briefing 1 will focus on introductions, bookings, contacts, enrichment, training and confirming funding etc. The briefing is on Monday 4 July 10-12 noon and will be repeated Tuesday 5 July 10-12 noon and Tuesday 5th July 12-2pm

Briefing 2 will focus on registers, community lunches, retention and welcome, training update and evaluation. The briefing is on Friday 12 August 10-11am and will be repeated on Monday 15 August 6-7pm

Briefing 3 will focus on evaluation, getting monitoring information complete in and finances. The briefing is on Friday 2 September 10-11am and will be repeated Monday 5 September 6-7pm.

Providers should arrange to be represented at all three briefings – they contain information you will need to deliver the programme and also provide time for networking and sharing experience.

Who’s Who at Children’s Quarter

Laura, Hazel and Paul are your contacts at Children’s Quarter who will be helping to run Fit for All as a programme and do the admin and coordination.

Laura is responsible for liaising with StreetGames, site visits, training, photography and video collection, the Meet Me project and provides help and advice in emergencies…

Hazel is responsible for programme monitoring – the key stuff around bookings and registers

Paul is responsible for most of the bids, communications, facilitating briefings, menus, stuff to do with food and evaluation.

But all will try to be helpful on anything to do with Fit for All (and they talk to each other), so don’t worry too much about getting the right person!
