Fit for All 2025/26

Fit for All is coordinated and managed by Children’s Quarter – a cooperative of nearly 100 community groups, schools and charities in and around Birmingham. Our members range from small parent-led groups to schools in Birmingham and the West Midlands and to branches of national charities.

Bring it on Brum helps us make healthy meals and activities available With support from Bring it on Brum and other funders, volunteers and supporters, our member groups run hundreds of inclusive sessions involving 3500 children and young people during term-end holidays each year. Bring it on Brum manages Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) funding for Birmingham City Council. HAF Funding comes from government’s Department for Education.

More than 40 Childrens Quarter member organsations work together to run hundreds of Fit for All sessions each year. Some sessions are just for SEND or autistic young people and their families. Most Fit for All sessions, however, are open to young people with SEND and to young people who are eligible for free school meals. Some Fit for All sessions are for children who are vulnerable for a particular reason.

Most of the 25,000 places we provide each year are taken by families who are already involved with the groups that provide them. Staff and volunteers need time to get to know disabled and vulnerable young people, so that they can make sure their needs are interests are catered for. If you would like to get involved, have a look at the map below and see which groups may be delivering this year. We always try to leave some sessions open for families who haven’t been involved so far, but these fill up very quickly.

Most Fit for All sessions are free, but some members sometimes charge families who can afford to pay something toward the costs. Donations are, of course, always welcome.
