Day Out at the Urban Farm

MAKE AN ENQUIRY

There is plenty to do at Woodgate Valley Urban Farm which is open for visits from groups as part of Fit for All this Summer. There are animals including donkeys, sheep, Tamworth pig, rabbits, chickens and ducks; orchards and woodland; nature space; a permaculture gardening area in development; and an indoor classroom with toilet and small kitchen – all set in six acres of space for running around… or enjoying the peace!

The Farm has the Green Care Quality Mark from Social Farms and Gardens. There is a special emphasis on supporting young people with SEND, those suffering from social exclusion, educational exclusion and poor mental health. WVUF is a member of Children’s Quarter. Public opening times are limited, but CQ Members who are delivering sessions this Summer can visit for free as part of Fit for All’s enrichment offer.

WVUF is between Bartley Green and Quinton on the Western edge of Birmingham; next to Woodgate Valley Country Park and Visitor Centre; and close to Hole Farm Riding Centre. There is parking at Woodgate Valley Car Park and the Farm has a smaller area of private parking that groups can use.

Woodgate Valley Urban Farm is at Clapgate Lane, Bartley Green , Birmingham B32 3DS
