This Summer, Resources for Autism is running its playschemes for autistic children and young people in the North and South of the city at:
The Pines School, Erdington
- Monday 28 July to Friday 1 August inclusive 10 – 3pm each day
- Monday 4 to Friday 8 August inclusive 10 – 3pm each day.
Longwill School, Northfield
- Monday 11 to Friday 15 August inclusive 10 – 3pm each day
- Monday 18 to Friday 22 August inclusive 10 – 3pm each day.
The playschemes offer young people an opporutntiy to engage in meaningful and fun based activities, i.e. cooking, sports, and group games, outdoor play, arts and crafts, sensory, swimming, dance and water play, trips out. The main aim is to provide welcoming and happy spaces to play, unmask, and for young people to be themselves.
The popularity of playschemes means there is a waiting list and the sessions above are fully booked.
